Don’t know how to access Google Analytics – Link vanished!

Well, how frustrating is this!

I used to be able to access my Google Analytics page nice and easily by clicking on Account Settings – And a whole page of utilities would appear – all the Google tools I use all on one handy page.

More recently however I had to click on Account Settings – Then right at the bottom of the page was a link that said “Revert to older look” or something similar and from there I could bring up the old Google Tools page with the link to Google Analytics.

Now however ALL links to the Google Analytics and Google Tools page have GONE! Vanished! No longer there! Deleted, removed. I have spent the past hour desperately trying to find any links to my Analytics page but to no avail. Now in total frustration, the only thing I could think of doing was to write a post to ask if anyone in the entire World has any idea how I can access my Google Analytics page again?

Many, many thanks.

I hate the fuc&*ng BBC website.

Even the complaints process is annoying to use! The previous text box doesn’t even give me enough letters to type the subject heading for this complaint!!! Aaaarrrghh!!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-14665953

I found your page through Google. Read through your article which was mildly interesting and then thought I’d like to post a comment – oh dear here we go…

Rather than having an open forum where anyone can comment like I have on my website your site insists that everyone registers.

Then rather than opening a new tab where I can type my details in, the same tab is used and a sign-up page is loaded – really, really annoying.

Then having aquired all my details, I have to leave the page altogether so I can go and check my email’s, so then I can click on a link to ‘activate’ the ability to post comments…

…Except the page I wanted to place a comment on has now GONE!!! So, I hit the ‘back’ button on my browser – nothing, hit the back button again – and I just don’t believe it, it stays on exactly the same stupid sign up page and it just WILL NOT go back any further – really, really, really annoying.

Then, and this bit you’ll love – I have absolutely no way whatsoever of getting back to the article I was reading! So I thought I know I’ll use the BBC search box another total flipping waste of time. The page I was reading had the heading ‘9/11 conspiracy theories‘ so I thought I’d type ‘911 conspiracy theories‘ and what do I get?

SEARCH results for 911 conspiracy theories

    • Magazine / 19 October 2007… most critics of conspiracy theories, e.g. regarding 911, fail to address is that the official version of 911 or 7/7 is in itself a conspiracy…

Ok, that didn’t exactly come back with anything relevant, maybe I’ll see if putting a slash between the 9 and the 11 helps, so next I did a search for 9/11 conspiracy theories, this time, this is what I got:

Of the list above, not a single one of those links, NONE, linked to the page I was reading.

Ubercart – This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient’s website to complete your transaction using their regular checkout flow.

Why oh why is everything to do with Drupal so difficult? With WordPress you just tick a box and everything just works. With Drupal getting even the tiniest thing working you have to spend 1 and a half years bleeding out the eyeballs for.

Having said that the reason for this post is because I’m building an e-commerce website and Drupal seemed a good idea at the time. The site’s actually finished, you can have a look at it here http://www.newagegiftshops.co.uk

The only remaining problem I have is with Ubercart and getting the PayPal payment gateway to work properly – I get this error:

“This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient’s website to complete your transaction using their regular checkout flow.”

Neither the Ubercart website or Drupal.org have been of any help whatsoever. I’ve just updated my Ubercart module to the very latest (as of this post) Ubercart 6.x-2.7 and STILL it doesn’t work.

It’s now got to the point where I’m so hacked off with it, that I decided to get rid of that stupid non-working button all together!

A simple modification to your styles.css file will do the trick – It’s a total hack I know but why bother having a button on your site that doesn’t work and clearly never has?
